MARK YOUR CALENDARS - PARTY WITH A PURPOSE - MAY 1 MARK YOUR CALENDARS - PARTY WITH A PURPOSE - MAY 14th 2022 8pm. This is my uncle, I hope you can find the time to read his story and to know where your $ is going next Saturday 🖤 his story:

Michael was born on April 3rd, 1973 in Leominster, MA. He was president of his class, editor of the school newspaper and an all-star running back at Leominster High School. He was popular, successful, intelligent and talented. And at the age of 18, during his senior year, he was diagnosed with clinical depression. Michael sought treatment and went on to graduate Cum Laude from Harvard University in 1995. In 1997, he moved to California where he continued to battle with cycles of depression. On February 4th, 2003, soon after a series of painful events, Michael disappeared from his home and has not been seen or heard from since.

In partnership with the SHINE Initiative, Fidelity Bank and HealthAlliance, and with the love and support of our family friends and community, we have been able to share Michael’s story and the struggles of depression with people throughout the region. We have raised thousands of dollars which we continue to put right back into our community to support mental health services and resources. To this date, Michael’s Run has donated:

$10,000 to the Leominster Education Foundation
$5,000 to HealthAlliance emergency mental health treatment services
$2,000 toward helping to facilitate support resources for parents and families
$5,000 to launch the “Let’s Go 1, 2, 3 Wellness Program”
$4500 to launch and facilitate “Healthier Minds Social”.
We are currently working toward developing a program focused on helping local children at risk and we will continue to support emergency treatment services and resources.

We are sincerely grateful for your continued support.

Expressing natural emotions.
I’ve always been an artist but have only been painting consistently for the past 3-4 years.
Creating artwork and finally taking my mental health seriously has changed my life in so many ways. I have anxiety, depression, PTSD and bipolar disorder.

In case you didn’t know, last year @mintsconditi In case you didn’t know, last year @mintscondition and her artists joined our showcase and it brought such a wonderful cause to more peoples attention: Otherworld has joined forces with Art for Skate with a goal to help raise money for the new Leominster skate parking built in honor of Frankie Fortuna: Frankie Fortuna was a local skater who was the victim of a hit and run accident in Leominster, Ma. The new skatepark in Leominster will be a memorial for him. Although the city has a good chunk of the funds needed to build the park, they are still in need of a good chunk. Last showcase, we raised $300 in raffle sales to donate to the Frankie Fortuna fund and this time around we are hoping to get more donations. Be on the lookout for the Otherworld raffle table AND the Frankie Fortuna raffle table during the showcase.
